Zengcheng Economic & Technological Development Zone

Founded in 1988, Zengcheng Economic & Technological Development Zone was upgraded to a national economic and technological development zone in March, 2010, and witnessed the establishment of national Dream Incubator of Overseas Chinese in December 2015. With a built and administered area of 70 km2, the Development Zone serves as an industrial base for translating the results of Guangzhou-Shenzhen S&T Innovation Corridor, a key node for making Guangzhou a key national central city and a hub-type network city, and one of the three major economic engines of the city to be developed with focused efforts.

In recent years, the Development Zone been taking measures to improve the investment environment, attract investors and tenants, and develop hi-tech industry. In 2018, the Development Zone ranked 115th among all 219 counterparts in comprehensive strength, a significant rise by 74 places from 2016.

SAKAI SIO has invested 32 billion yuan on its 8K project and its plant building has topped off and ready for equipment installation. GAC Honda has completed and put into use its new project with a capacity of 240,000 gasoline engines in May, 2018.
